A Rumpus refresh
We are the premier veterinary copywriting agency, because our team is the whole package: award-winning writers and editors, seasoned veterinary professionals (a combined 140+ years in industry 😯 ), and animal-obsessed humans.
Whether it’s lack of time, lack of will, or lack of skill, we’re here to ensure communicating with anyone and everyone (from clients to industry colleagues) is as simple as your routine puppy physical.
A Ramblings preview
We are pumped to take you behind the Rumpus scenes, impart some writing wisdom, and geek out over our mutual love of pets.
In short, this blog is dedicated to you. We hope to inspire some communication dedication while providing much-needed levity.
A Rumpus meet-and-greet
Here at Rumpus, we love to write (well, most of the time…). And we love to love our pets. In commemoration of these core Rumpus values, we’re introducing you to some of the team by way of GIFs and song. And feel free to peruse our professional bios as well. Enjoy!

Read. A lot. Reading helps your mind remember how to change things up.

How she feels about writing
ALWAYS have someone proofread your work. Putting out poorly written content will hurt your reputation, regardless of what business you’re in.
Pet’s theme song
Yogi is my 15-pound Chihuahua-Shiba Inu (I think) mix who barks incessantly at everyone who comes near the house, but is actually the sweetest, most affectionate dog ever. Maybe I spoil him some (read: all) of the time, but HE is a total princess!

Pet’s theme song
Ella is a 55lb pittie whose superpower is being able to sense when you sit on the floor. No matter where she is or what she is doing, she will show up in a split second and try to sit on your lap.

How she feels about writing
Don’t be afraid of a bad first draft, it’s better than no draft at all.
Pet’s theme song
My younger grey rescue cat, Myles, is afraid of everything and follows me everywhere, including the bathroom. And he stares at me like a creepy stalker.
Somebody’s Watching Me – Michael Jackson
My other cat Aubie (a very plump rescue tabby) basically doesn’t care if you exist unless you have food or something else for her.
